PPW Show #24 1/22/2010
Edison, NJ
Attendance: 211 Fans
The PPW logo appears on the screen, followed shortly by the start of the PPW theme. Pictures of the PPW wrestlers begin to be shown, along with clips of all the best moments of PPW. Once every wrestler has been shown once, we go to a shot of all the PPW Champions standing in ring, holding their respective title belts.
Instead of going to the announce table as usual, we start the show in the office of PPW's President, Dale Veranda. He sits behind his desk, with Harry Rollison sitting on the other.
Dale Veranda: As I understand, you plan on calling out HUGS should he be in the building. Knowing how you are, calling him out means trying to take him out of wrestling. Hence, I'm warning you, if you lay a hand on or provoke HUGS in any way, you will be suspended on the spot. Do you understand?
Harry Rollison: I got you. You have my word that nothing will happen to HUGS out there tonight. Mark my words though, there will be a day where I will be in this company without HUGS.
We now go to the announce team, Curtis Kingsly and Nick Durham.
Curtis Kingsly: What a start to the new year in PPW! Harry Rollison was wanting to call out HUGS tonight and try to put him out of action, but PPW President Dale Veranda has put a stop to any plan Rollison had with a suspension threat.
Nick Durham: How does Veranda know what Rollison was planning?
Kingsly: Rollison made his plan clear. He wants to eliminate HUGS from PPW. We have eight matches lined up for tonight, plus an awards ceremony for 2009. And who knows what else will happen. Let's go to the ring where Shane Corbin awaits to get 2010 started.
Shane Corbin: Ladies and gentlemen, all of tonights matches are sanctioned by PPW President Dale Veranda. Our first contest is scheduled for one fall with a 30 minute time limit. Your referee is Trog. Introducing first, hailing from Beaumont, Texas at a total combined weight of 495 pounds, The Master's Puppets! Their opponents weighed in at a total combined weight of 474 pounds. Here are the Redshirts!

Kingsly: The Redshirts start their year right with a victory over the Master's Puppets. Nick, should the Puppet Master be worried that every team in PPW is gaining victories over his team?
Durham: Puppet Master has said it before, his puppets are only here to assist him with problems in the ring. Winning is secondary with these guys.
Kingsly: We have a special contest for you coming up next. This is not ordinary wrestling contest. This will be an eating contest between Fat Man X and Falcon Paunch. Cheeseburgers will the food of choice. The ring has been set up, Shane Corbin will explain the rules of our special eating contest.

The next five minutes see both men slowing down and dipping the burgers in water to help keep the food down. As the time limit winds down, the bites slow down to a crawl but there is still no leader. With 30 seconds remaining, Fat Man X takes the lead with a surge of eating. With five seconds remaining, a voice fills the air.
Voice: Stop the contest, stop the contest, stop the contest!
Joseph Smith steps through the curtain and enters the ring.
Smith: As a man with moral convictions, I cannot allow you two gluttons corrupt the youth of America into thinking that eating can be turned into a competitive sport. It's bad enough that millions of people can watch competitive eating on tv, but so help me, if I can stop it on a local scale, I will. This contest is over!
The crowd boos as Fat Man X and Falcon Paunch go to a corner and discus something. Smith turns his attention to yelling at the crowd. Fat Man X and Falcon Paunch each grab a burger from a table a sneak up behind Smith. As he turn around, Fat Man X and Falcon Paunch shove the burgers down Smith's throat. You get the best that you can find, and I'll do the same. Our teams will then fight until only one team remains.
