PPW Show #25 1/28/2010
Newark, NJ
Attendance: 194 Fans
The PPW logo appears on the screen, followed shortly by the start of the PPW theme. Pictures of the PPW wrestlers begin to be shown, along with clips of all the best moments of PPW. Once every wrestler has been shown once, we go to a shot of all the PPW Champions standing in ring, holding their respective title belts. When that shot ends, we go to the PPW announce team.
Curtis Kingsly: Hello once again, wrestling fans, and welcome once again to another solid night of PPW action. Tonight we have a PPW Championship Match as Sid the Mad gets a shot against Lethal Machine!
Nick Durham: We also have a grudge match as Joseph Smith looks to get some measure of revenge on Fat Man X!
Kingsly: He deserved what he got last week from Fat Man X and Falcon Paunch for interrupting their eating contest.
Durham: He was trying to set a good example for the youth of America!
Kingsly: He had no place getting involved, if he was so concerned, he would of went to PPW President Veranda and expressed his concern. Speaking of PPW President Veranda, we understand that he is standing by in the PPW Interview Center with Andy Boyer with an announcement concerning Harry Rollison.
The screen cuts to the PPW Interview Center where Andy Boyer stands with PPW President Dale Veranda.
Andy Boyer: President Veranda, we saw last week the edict that you issued to Harry Rollison. He was not allowed to have any physical contact with HUGS whatsoever. However, we saw that towards the end of the show, he got into a brawl with HUGS.
Dale Veranda: Yes we did, and I do have a few words to say about it. First of all, I did forbid any physical contact between Rollison and HUGS. Also, I forbid Rollison to provoke HUGS in any way. As far as the fight they had, I have investigated into the incident and have learned that it was HUGS that instigated the physicality. Therefor, I will not punish Rollison with a suspension.
Rollison is seen entering the PPW Interview Center, a smug look on his face.
Boyer: What is this about?!
Rollison: I told you, Mr. President that I would be a man of my word and I was. I gave you my word that I would not lay my hands on HUGS and I did that. However, I did not come out here to gloat about my incredible restraint. I came out here to make a case. Mr. President, I make a formal plea that you should imply that same penalty to HUGS that would of been implied to me had I violated your edict last week.
Veranda: I will grant that you did keep you word last week and followed my decree. However, I will not take any punitive action against HUGS for his actions. As far as I'm concerned, you deserve anything that HUGS does to you for first putting you hands on his son, and then breaking his ribs during a match.
Rollison: So what you're telling me is that I can't do jack to HUGS, yet he can get away with anything he wants against me! How is that fair?!
Veranda: What I was saying is that whatever you get in response for you actions is deserved.
Rollison: I see how things are run in this company. As a man of my word, I promise that I will do something about it.
Rollison walks off, but not before giving Veranda a stern look.
Boyer: Guys, back to you.
Boyer can be seen shaking his head just before we go back to the ringside area.
Kingsly: Well, that was an interesting development.
Durham: Look at that Veranda, standing up for his favorites, while trying to keep those that he hates down.
Kingsly: That is not the case at all! Our first match will be a tag team contest as Doug Newsteen and Ogden Natale will take on The Master's Puppets. Let's go to Shane Corbin for the introductions.
Shane Corbin: Ladies and gentlemen, all of tonight's action is sanctioned by PPW President Dale Veranda. Our first match is scheduled for one fall fall with a 30 minute time limit. Your referee is Mithos. Introducing first, hailing from Beaumont, Texas at a total combined weight of 495 pounds, the Master's Puppets! Their opponents are at a total combined weight of 513 pounds. Here are Doug Newsteen and Ogden Natale!
Doug Newsteen/Ogden Natale def. The Master's Puppets when Natale pinned Brad Zelik after a backdrop at 16:49.
Kingsly: Again, the Master's Puppets did not look that interested in winning the match.
Durham: Again, the Puppet Master has them here for one reason, to eliminate Izzligo for him.
Dale Veranda is seen walking out to ringside.
Durham: Great, I wonder what travesty he has planned for us all now?!
Kingsly: Stop it. The man has something else to say.
Veranda walks around the ring to Shane Corbin, who hands him the mic.
Veranda: I think I see what is going on here so far tonight with Rollison wanting HUGS suspended. Rollison's team is looking to gain an advantage even before that match starts. I find it convenient that the Puppet Master would want his puppets here tonight as well when Izzligo is in the building. So, acting on what I'm thinking, I'm officially telling the Puppet Master that if he does not have his puppets out of the building by the end of the next match, he will taken out of the 8 man elimination tag match this evening.
A loud cheer from the crowd shows that they approve of Dale Veranda's decision.
Durham: Wit, he can't do that! The Master's Puppets are PPW talent! They can be at any PPW show they want to be at!
Kingsly: PPW President Veranda laying down the law to Rollison's team. He will not stand for Rollison trying to take out any of their opponents before the match.
Durham: This is not right. This is wrestling. Part of the fun is watching to see what will happen next!
Kingsly: The point of wrestling is to win matches, not be hooligans and hurt people. Our next match will see Omitsu Sarumara taking on Sarah Truth. Shane Corbin looks to be ready for the introductions.
Corbin: This contest is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit. Your referee is Carl Thomas. Introducing first from Ichihara, Japan and at a weight of 116 pounds, Omitsu Sarumara! Her opponent is from Beverly Hills, California. She weighed in at 129 pounds, here is Sarah Truth!
Sarah Truth def. Omitsu Sarumara by submission with a butterfly neck lock at 16:30.
Kingsly: Truth gains a victory with that neck lock.
Durham: Check Sarumara's neck again.
Kingsly: Why should we do that? Truth broke the hold.
Durham: It may be a pretzel right now and make for a funny visual.
Kingsly: Please. We have a debut coming up next. Last week we saw the Hayabusa Kid for the first time where Dale Veranda announced to him that he's been accepted into PPW. He also warned him that there may be people in the company who might take exception to using the name of someone from the past.
Durham: And sure enough, Diablo Inferno arrived and challenged him to a match.
Kingsly: Shane Corbin has the introductions ready and let's see the Hayabusa Kid in action.
Corbin: This contest is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit. Your referee is Fraught. Introducing first from Tornillo, Texas and weighing in at 297 pounds, here is Diablo Inferno! His opponent is from Chicago, Illinois. He weighed in at 202 pounds. Making his PPW debut, the Hayabusa Kid!
Diablo Inferno pinned Hayabusa Kid at 12:17.
Kingsly: Hayabusa Kid gave it his best, but I think Diablo Inferno was too big, too strong, and too tough on this night.
Durham: Hayabusa Kid needs to bulk up a bit. He's in over his head with those pencil shaped arms of his.
Kingsly: He used his speed and agility very well out there. He should be proud of himself. Plus just how many guys win their very first match?
Durham: Give me a week of training, and I bet you that I could.
Kingsly: I'd love to see you in there Nick. Wonder if Lethal Machine would be available to be your opponent?
Durham: Hey, I didn't say you could pick my opponent!
Kingsly: I see where this is going, so I'll just move the show along. Our next match will see Joseph Smith look to, in his mind at least, gain some revenge on Fat Man X. Last week, Smith interrupted an eating contest between himself and Falcon Paunch. Andy Boyer has Smith in the PPW Interview Center.
We cut to the PPW Interview Center where Andy Boyer is standing by with Joseph Smith.
Boyer: Joseph Smith, last week we saw you interrupt an eating contest between Fat Man X and Falcon Paunch. M question is why interrupt something that you were not a part of to begin with?
Joseph Smith: It's people like them that is why there are so many fat people in this country. These men are telling the youth of America that it is fine and dandy to eat as much food as you can. I'm here to tell you that in the eyes of God, that this is not, nor ever be, right. It is called gluttony, and Fat Man X and Falcon Paunch are gluttons. I have dubbed them as the Glutton Brothers. Tonight, I will, trim the fat from PPW, starting with Fat Man X.
Boyer: Strong words from Joseph Smith.
We cut back to the ring where Shane Corbin stands.
Corbin: This match is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit. Your referee is Trog. Introducing first from Ayden, North Carolina and at a weight of 440 pounds, here is Fat Man X! His opponent claims he hails from God's Kingdom. He weighed in at 220 pounds. Here is Joseph Smith!
Joseph Smith def. Fat Man X by countout at 6:49.
Kingsly: Smith couldn't do much with the weight of Fat Man X, so he got him counted out. What a cheap win!
Durham: Cheap? That was smart! Smith knew that Fat Man X can't move very fast and took advantage of the fact.
Kingsly: Still cheap. We have another newcomer to PPW up next as Victory Onyx squares off with Creeping Death.
Corbin: This next match is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit. Your referee is Mithos. Introducing first from Clearwater, Florida and weighing in at 227 pounds, here is the Victory Onyx! His opponent is from Delta, Colorado and weighed in at 253 pounds. Here is Creeping Death!
Victory Onyx pinned Creeping Death after a shining enzuigiri at 13:36.
Kingsly: Wow, Onyx made Creeping Death look like a rookie out there.
Durham: I thought Creeping Death would provide a bigger challenge out there tonight.
Kingsly: Victory Onyx could be something special. Time will only tell. From an impressive newcomer to someone who can't buy a win in Brian Costello.
Durham: Come on, Curtis. Leave the man alone already. He will win a match one of these days.
Kingsly: Not trying to kick him when he's down, just pointing out the facts. He does have his friend Jack Overbay with him for this tag match as they take on Happy Hopeless and Falcon Paunch. Shane Corbin is ready in the ring with the introductions.
Corbin: This is a tag team match scheduled for one fall with a 30 minute time limit. Your referee is Carl Thomas. Introducing first at a total combined weight of 526 pounds, the team of Jack Overbay and Brian Costello! Their opponents are at a total combined weight of 528 pounds, the team of Falcon Paunch and Happy Hopeless!
Jack Overbay/Brian Costello def. Falcon Paunch/Happy Hopeless when Costello pinned Hopeless after a hip drop at 18:35.
Kingsly: Oh, my God! Costello wins the match! He's ended the losing streak!
Durham: Look at the people! They don't know what to think! I love it!
Kingsly: Costello is celebrating as if he won the PPW Championship!
Durham: Let him! He is the last of the original PPW roster members to get a win. It's been almost a full year.
Kingsly: While Costello celebrates, we have another women's match up next. At the end of 2009, we saw Sumatra challenge Bad Moon Mashita to a match. Sumatra accepted and that brings us to tonight. Shane Corbin has the introductions.
Corbin: This match is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit. Your referee is Fraught. Introducing first from Tokyo, Japan and weighing in at 115 pounds, here is Bad Moon Mashita! Her opponent hails from Pahoa, Hawaii and weighed in at 132 pounds. Here is Sumatra!
Bad Moon Mashita pinned Sumatra after a kenta kick at 16:19.
Kingsly: Well I'll be...
Durham: Ha! That's what Sumatra gets for issuing challenges around here.
Kingsly: I'll admin, Mashita surprised me in that match. I did think that Sumatra would handle her easily.
Durham: Goes to show that you shouldn't assume anything.
Kingsly: I never said that she wouldn't win, I just thought tonight would not be her night. Let's go to the locker room where I understand that the victory celebration for Brian Costello is underway.
We go the a locker room when all the heels of PPW are with Brian Costello standing in the middle of them. The heels all have a beer in hand. Some are taking drinks from the beer, while others pour theirs on Costello's head. Due to everyone cheering and talking, picking out what anyone is saying is impossible. We go back to the announce team.
Kingsly: I guess this is Costello's night.
Durham: They should have a parade down main street.
Kingsly: They don't even do that for new champions! You are too much. We have tag team action next as the Dojo Express will be facing Jack B. Nimble and Jack B. Quick. Shane Corbin is ready for the introductions.
Corbin: This is a tag team match scheduled for one fall with a 30 minute time limit. Your referee is Trog. Introducing first at a total combined weight of 453 pounds, the team of Jack B. Nimble and Jack B. Quick! Their opponents are at a total combined weight of 446 pounds. Here are the Dojo Express!
The Dojo Express def. Jack B. Nimble/Jack B. Quick when Haruki Isoda made Nimble submit to crown knee kicks at 21:02.
Kingsly: The Dojo Express with another win.
Durham: Ugg, do I have to admit that they are getting better?
Kingsly: A responsible commentator would.
Durham: Well, I don't want to be responsible, so I think they still stink!
Kingsly: What a shocker there. We go from the joy of a long losing streak ending for Brian Costello, to Hayabusa Kid after losing his first match. Let's go to Andy Boyer with the Hayabusa Kid.
The scene cuts to a locker room where the Hayabusa Kid is siting haunched over on a bench. He has a towel covering his head.
Boyer: Guys, I'm in the locker room with the Hayabusa Kid who lost a hard fought match with Diablo Inferno. Hayabusa Kid, any comments?
Hayabusa Kid sits in silence for a few seconds.
Hayabusa Kid: I'm so sorry. I apologize for letting everyone down. I feel so ashamed right now.
Hayabusa Kid starts to sniffle.
Hayabusa Kid: I just wanted to make everyone proud out there with my first match. I failed.
Boyer: I think you guys get the story. Hayabusa Kid is very disappointed in losing his debut match.
Kingsly: Feel sorry for the young man.
Durham: Get over it, kid. You'll lose all the time.
Kingsly: You don't know that.
Durham: He's too small for this company. He needs to go to Mexico where their growth spurts end at sixteen.
Kingsly: That is horribly wrong to say. He have our 8 man tag team elimination match next as the teams Kandie, Kentucky, Izzligo, and HUGS take on the team of Abdullah Majid, Sheik Hassan, Puppet Master, and Harry Rollison. So many issues coming to a head in this one.
Durham: In this one, it can end up three on two, two on two or four against one!
Kingsly: It sure can. Lets go to Shane Corbin for the introductions for this unique match.
Corbin: This is an eight man tag team elimination match with no time limit. Your referee is Mithos. This match does not end until each member of an entire team has been eliminated by a pin, submission, knockout, countout, or disqualification. Introducing first at a total combined weight of 992 pounds, the team of Abdullah Majid, Sheik Hassan, Puppet Master, and Harry Rollison! Their opponents are at a total combined weight of 970 pounds. Here are Kandie, Kentucky, Izzligo, and HUGS!
Kandie/Kentucky/Izzligo/HUGS def. Abdullah Majid/Sheik Hassan/Puppet Master/Harry Rollison in a tag team elimination match at 29:55.
Kingsly: It's a clean sweep for HUGS' team!
Durham: Come on guys, show some pride! Attack after the bell or something!
Kingsly: Once it came down to just Rollison for his team, he just gave in and allowed himself to be pinned.
Durham: I would too with those four blood thirsty freaks on the other side.
Kingsly: They are not savages. Our main event is up next as Sid the Mad looks to dethrone the Lethal Machine.
Durham: I saw it won't happen.
Kingsly: Didn't you learn anything from last year? Every time you said someone would not win, they did.
Durham: New year, better luck, Curtis.
Kingsly: We'll see if you're right. Shane Corbin has the introductions set.
Corbin: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening and it is for the PPW Championship! It is scheduled for one fall with a 60 minute time limit. Your referee is Carl Thomas. Introducing first, the challenger. He is from Jasper, Florida and weighed in at 248 pounds. Here is Sid the Mad! His opponent is from Clayton, New Mexico and weighed in at 299 pounds. Here is the defending PPW Champion, the Lethal Machine!
Sid the Mad pinned PPW Champion Lethal Machine after a rounding body press at 11:25 to win the title.
Kingsly: We have a new champion!
Durham: No!
Kingsly: Wrong again, I see. New Year, same results.
Durham: Shut your mouth, I hate you!
Kingsly: I can't do that, you see. I'm the play by play guy.
Durham: All right, smarty pants...
Durham's headset cuts off, allowing Kingsly to talk.
Kingsly: Tonight we saw the debut of the Hayabusa Kid, Joseph Smith try to defend his actions from last week, Brian Costello's first PPW win, and a new PPW Champion crowned as Sid the Mad beat Lethal Machine for the title. For a fuming Nick Durham, I'm Curtis Kingsly. Good night, everyone.
The show closes out with a video package of the nights highlights with the PPW theme playing in the background.
