PPW Show #2 3/18/2009
Sayreville, NJ
Attendance: 108 Fans
The PPW theme sounds as a video package of all the PPW’s wrestlers play. The package airs for two minutes, then we are taken to the PPW announce team of Curtis Kingsly and Nick Durham.
Curtis Kingsly: Welcome to PPW, wrestling fans.
Nick Durham: Don’t forget to introduce me, Kingsly!
Kingsly: This is Nick Durham. You’ll learn to hate him soon enough.
Durham: People don’t hate me; just look at all these people here to see me!
Kingsly: Then how do you explain why there are less people here than our debut show?
Durham: Hey! What do we have for tonight’s show?
Kingsly: We have the second half of the Time Challenge matches for the PPW Title Tournament, as well as PPW Women’s Title Tournament elimination matches. The round robin portion of the PPW Tag Team Title Tournament continues. Shane Corbin will get us started with our first introductions.
Shane Corbin: Ladies and gentlemen, all matches tonight are sanctioned by PPW President Dale Veranda and carry 30 minute time limits. The opening contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Time Challenge match. Your referee is Trog. First, from Delta, CO and weighing in at 253 lbs., here is Creeping Death! His opponent hails from Benton, CA. He weighed in at 264 lbs. This is the Hero of the Day!
The Match: Slow pace to start. HotD uses takedowns while Death strikes. HotD works the arm and back. Death is still trying to strike. We go outside the ring a few times. HotD is sticking with moves that affect the back. We go outside again, but the action doesn’t stay there long as Trog counts ultra fast. Death gets in some offence for a few minutes. Back and forth action until HotD locks a Romero chin lock to get a submission at 16:16.
Kingsly: The Hero of the Day gets a submission victory over Creeping Death.
Durham: Death must have had some sort of unknown injury, Curtis.
Kingsly: Making excuses already, one match into the evening.
Durham: No, I’m not! I’m just…well… I’m…
Kingsly: Exactly. Well, our PPW interviewer, Andy Boyer, makes his debut. He’s with Blood Reign.
Andy Boyer: Yes, I am Andy Boyer, and I do have Blood Reign.
Boyer looks at Reign’s ring attire, which is all white except for red patches in a blood spattered pattern, with matching face paint. Boyer looks a little startled by Blood Reign’s look.
Boyer: Reign, you have drawn the Man of Destiny as your opponent in the Time Challenge series. Your thoughts on your match.
Blood Reign: Man of Destiny, tonight the only destiny you have is to see the sight of your own blood running down your face as I move to the PPW Title Tournament.
Boyer looks crept out by Blood Reign’s comments. There are several seconds of dead air before we head back to Kingsly and Durham.
Durham: Well, looks like Andy Boyer doesn’t know how to handle the personalities of PPW.
Kingsly: He is only a communications inter at college.
Durham: We employ college kids?!
Kingsly: We’re a company just starting out, we had to cut corners somewhere. Andy was willing to work for the experience.
Durham: I feel so low right now.
Kingsly: Blood Reign looks ready. Shane Corbin has the introductions.
Corbin: This match is a Time Challenge contest, scheduled for one fall. Your referee is Mithos. Introducing first, from Alleghany, VA and weighing in at 242 lbs. Here is the Man of Destiny! The opponent is from Romney, IN. He weighed in at 259 lbs. This is Blood Reign!

MoD makes a comeback, but it’s short lived. A two count for Reign. MoD tries to do some leg work but gets caught with a flying body press by Reign for the three at 7:00.
Kingsly: Blood Reign wins in just seven minutes! That will be a hard time to beat.
Durham: So sad, so sad.
Kingsly: What’s so sad.
Durham: No blood.
Kingsly: Are you only concerned with watching people get maimed? If so, you are a sick man.
Durham: If I’m working for dirt, I want some entertainment.
Kingsly: You’re in this for the wrong reasons. We have the first of two women’s elimination matches up next. Last week, Black Flower and Kiku Murasaki lost their matches. Whoever loses again tonight will not be in the PPW Women’s Title Tournament.
Corbin: Ladies and gentlemen, this is an elimination match for the PPW Women’s Title Tournament. It is scheduled for one fall. Your referee is Fraught. Introducing first, from Nevils, GA and weighing in at 154 lbs., the Black Flower! Her opponent is from Akita, Japan. She weighs in at 110 lbs. Here is Kiku Murasaki!

The match turns into strike and counter mania. Flower goes for another piledriver, but gets countered. Murasaki gets a one from a standing moonsault. Flower gets a two, as does Murasaki. The Flower again gets a two. More back and forth action follows. Murasaki starts to unload on Flower’s head. Flower sneaks in a two count. We go outside briefly. Back inside now, where Murasaki criticals Flower at 11:51!

Smith makes a cover for a one count, then eats some more kicks. Master is not trying for pins, he’s just landing kick after kick. A low blow by Smith. Puppet Master seems to only know how to strike and is out of breath. Smith gets a few two counts. Master starts striking away again. Smith gets a backslide for two, takes some more Puppet Master strikes, then uses the backslide again for three at 14:07.
Kingsly: All those strikes are no match for a backslide.
Durham: Looks like Puppet Master came here looking for a MMA fight.
Kingsly: He’ll need to learn some wrestling if he wants to be here awhile. Our first tag team contest is up next as Jack B. Nimble and Jack B. Quick look to gain their first points in this round robin qualifying format.

Nimble tags in, as does Killer two minutes later. Nimble greets him with a mule kick. Killer then proceeds to dominate both opponents until he pins Nimble at 15:01.
Kingsly: Can anyone in the tag team division stop this Korean Killer?
Durham: So far, he’s conquered dojo kids, and now he’s conquered nursery rhymes!
Kingsly: But he didn’t get the pin last week.
Durham: How long was he in there beating on the dojo kids?
Kingsly: He was in there a long time last week. We have our second women’s elimination match of the evening. Shane Corbin has the introductions for us.

Shioya hits a chin breaker, but Truth quickly regains control. Shioya manages to get a one count. Truth is being relentless out there. Shioya makes a small comeback but submits to a butterfly neck lock at 12: 48.
Kingsly: And Sarah Truth keeps herself alive in the PPW Women’s Title Tournament qualifying!
Durham: But she’ll still have to win on the next show to get into the tournament.
Kingsly: That’s true. These matches have a lot on the line in them.
Durham: Oh, God, not the gay guys again.
Kingsly: See you’ve been looking over your program sheet. Kandie and Kentucky are up next.
Durham: Don’t EVER say that Kandie and Kentucky are, “up next”!
Kingsly: Will you grow up! They’ll take on Toju Jukodo and Haruki Isoda. Up to Shane Corbin.
Corbin: This next match is a tag team attraction, scheduled for one fall. Your referee is Fraught. Introducing first, both hailing from San Francisco, CA. At a weigh of 213 lbs., Kandie! Here is Toju Jukodo!
The Match: Kandie and Jukodo starting out. Jukodo outwrestles Kandie until he tags in Isoda. Kentucky tags in and dominates, so Isoda tags Jukodo. A powerbomb by Kentucky gets a two count. Kentucky gets another two shortly after. Isoda tags back in, but Kentucky is on a roll. Isoda finally gets in some offence, so Kentucky tags. Isoda continues the offence on Kandie. Kandie slowly takes control, and gets a two count. Then a second two count. Kandie hits a groin headbutt and gets three at 13:30.
Kingsly: Kandie and Kentucky pick up their first three points!

Boyer: Maria, you are just a win away from guaranteeing yourself a slot in the PPW Women’s Title Tournament. You wrestle Becky Stardust tonight. Any thoughts?
Gomez walks over to a table with some cases of Snapple on it. She picks up a bottle of Snapple Apple.
Gomez: Free?...Free?
Boyer: Yes…er…si.
Maria’s eye’s light up as she opens the bottle and chugs the Snapple down.
Boyer: Um…back to you guys.
Durham: She’s been here since this afternoon, and hasn’t figured out that’s the free buffet area!?
Kingsly: Guess there’s no Spanish speaking folk here tonight. Shane Corbin looks ready with the introductions.
Corbin: This is a women’s contest scheduled for on fall. Your referee is Carl Thomas. Introducing first, she is from Allende, Mexico. She weighed in at 116 lbs. Here is Maria Gomez! Her opponent weighed in at 123 lbs. She hails from Blair, SC. Here is Becky Stardust!
The Match: Slow pace to start. We’re still at the basics five minutes into the match. Gomez gets a one count. Stardust begins to lock in some submission holds on the arm. Gomez retaliates. Stardust regains control. Ten minutes into the match, and it’s been mostly Stardust. Gomez sneaks in another one count. The pace slows back down at the 13 minute mark. Stardust gets a two count. Gomez goes for the Price?, but is countered for another two. Gomez hits the second attempt at the Price?, but only gets two. Control goes back and forth. The Price? again only gets a 2.9. Gomez tries to make Stardust submit at the 20 minute mark. Stardust counters a Gomez hurancarana for three at 21:30.
Kingsly: Beautiful powerbomb counter by Stardust finally ends this match!
Durham: Guess Gomez didn’t guzzle enough Snapple before the match.
Kingsly: Still mad about Black Flower, aren’t you?
Durham: Don’t bring that up again!
Kingsly: We have Izzligo versus Falcon Paunch up next as the Time Challenge is down to the last two matches. Evander Farchild has to be worried. His time of 23:44 hasn’t held up at all.

Paunch goes for a backslide, but he doesn’t even get a one count. Izzligo works in a few combinations. Izzligo hits the Reptile Destroyer but doesn’t go for the cover. Paunch goes back to work on the leg. Izzligo gets a 2.9. He hits the Reptile Destroyer again, goes for the pin and gets three at 12:36.
Durham: Now I know why they call him Falcon Paunch!
Kingsly: I’m afraid I know where you’re going with this.
Durham: Well, look at that gut! He’s eaten too many French pastries!
Kingsly: As this show winds down, we have our last women’s match. Again, the loser will be in an elimination situation on the next PPW show. Shane Corbin, take us away!

Kingsly: Majid and Hassan pick up the victory!
Durham: That move Majid used looked vicious.
Kingsly: Think he calls it the Desert Sun, but I couldn’t get close enough to ask him!
Durham: He almost set you on fire in the back before the show.
Kingsly: Majid with those fireballs are a dangerous thing. Well, we have reached the final match in the Time Challenge series. It doesn’t matter who wins, just as long as they do in less than 16:16, or they don’t make the PPW Title Tournament. Shane Corbin has the introductions for tonight’s main event.

Durham: Ha! Borden got the submission he wanted, but about five minutes too late!
Kingsly: That’s a bad break for the big man. Diablo was a tough opponent.
Durham: Yeah, yeah, he maybe should of tried pinning the man.
Kingsly: I don’t think that would of made much difference.
PPW President Dale Veranda is seen sitting down at the announce table with Kingsly and Durham.
Kingsly: Ladies and gentlemen, we have been joined by PPW’s President, Dale Veranda. Mr. Veranda, I’m assuming you have an announcement to make.
President Veranda: Yes, I do. In light of the tie in the match times of Jack Overbay and Harry Rollison, I have decided to add an additional show to our schedule. Overbay and Rollison will be the main event with the rest of the show consisting of women’s elimination matches and tag team round robin matches.
PPW President Veranda leaves the announce table.
Kingsly: That is big news. Well, Nick, you were certainly quiet as Mr. Veranda was talking.
Durham: I was taking in what the man had to say, that’s all.
Kingsly: Covering your butt is more like it. If only he heard half of what you say about the talent.
Durham: Someone has to keep people in check around here.
Kingsly: That’s why we have a president.
Durham: He’s not here every second of the action like we are.
Kingsly: I’d love to keep you entertained by arguing, but we are out of time. For Nick Durham, I’m Curtis Kingsly, good night!

Blood Reign: Man of Destiny, tonight the only destiny you have is to see the sight of your own blood running down your face as I move to the PPW Title Tournament.
