Andy Boyer and Kiku Murasaki are sitting in chairs. There is a small table between then with the PPW Women’s Title resting on it. Both are dressed in a professional manner.
Boyer: Kiku, first, thank you for allowing us to do this interview with you.
Murasaki: You’re welcome.
Boyer: Kiku, on the last PPW show, you defeated Sumatra to win the PPW Women’s Title. As you were celebrating, a masked woman attacked you from behind after entering the ring through the crowd. We have learned through PPW officials that the woman calls herself Bad Moon Mashita. Kiku, do you know anything about this Bad Moon Mashita?
Murasaki: I do. Before this company began running shows, they held open tryouts to any wrestler looking for a roster spot. About fifteen women showed up. We were told that only eight of us would make the roster and that a round robin tournament would determine which women would make the roster. The last match for both of us was against each other. I was already assured a spot on the roster. Mashita needed a victory to make the roster. In our match, I pinned her with one second left. I guess she’s not forgotten that. When it was announced that the women’s division was being expanded, Mashita must have decided she would take a roster spot, and she’d do that by jumping the champion.
Boyer: Do you think she would of attacked Sumatra had she won the match?
Murasaki: Yes. I think this was a calculated plan. Mashita would of went through with it no matter who won our match.
Boyer: Immediately, PPW officials worked to ban Bad Moon Mashita from future PPW venues, but you told the officials not to. In fact, you implored officials not only to not ban Mashita, but you wanted her to be signed to a contract. Why?
Murasaki: I wanted her signed to a contract so that I can deal with her personally, one on one, in a match where she can’t attack me from behind.
Boyer: Are you concerned about your safety? It’s clear that this woman is unstable and full of pent up jealousy?
Murasaki: I can handle myself. I am a professional. Mashita can attack me all she wants, I know that once I’m standing across the ring from her, I will be the one with her hand raised in victory.
Boyer: Well, I have learned just before we began shooting this interview that PPW has reached a deal with Bad Moon Mashita and her first match will be with you, Kiku, this Friday.
Murasaki: I will be ready.
Boyer: Once again, thank you for spending some time with us and shedding some light on this situation.
Murasaki: You’re welcome.
Boyer and Murasaki shake hands as the camera fades out.
