PPW Show #14 8/21/2009
Edison, NJ
Attendance: 167 Fans
Sid the Mad pinned Falcon Paunch after a wild bomb whip at 12:57.
We find the two men who were at the last PPW show. They are still sitting in the back of the arena, and both still look like they are in a trance, only staring straight ahead.
Maria Gomez pinned Sarah Truth with the Price? at 17:14.
Korean Killer/Bangkok Brawler def. Ogden Natale/Doug Newsteen when Killer pinned Natale after a complete dust at 16:32.
HUGS pinned Joseph Smith with an original German suplex at 12:02.
Right after HUGS’ hand has been raised in victory, Harry Rollison appears from behind the curtain. However, he’s making conscious effort to keep something at bay behind it with one arm, while still being able to talk with the other.
Rollison: HUGS, I gave you just until this show for the answer I wanted to hear. Your continued refusal and now silence has left me no choice. I have something that I know is very dear to your heart. Does he look familiar to you, HUGS?
Rollison pulls through the curtain a small boy, about five years old. Rollison has hold of him by the collar of his shirt. The boy struggles but is unable to break from Rollison’s grasp. HUGS immediately leaves the ring and runs at Rollison and the captive child. Rollison smiles, seeing that whatever his plan is, it is working. When HUGS is about ten feet from reaching them, Rollison shoves the boy down to the floor, in from of HUGS, causing him to nearly stumble over the boy in an attempt to not trip over him. The distraction gives Rollison enough time to make his escape back to the dressing room before HUGS can catch him. Instead, HUGS checks on the child, who responds by giving him a tight hug before starting to cry.
Ryan Borden pinned Blood Reign after a vertical backdrop at 13:46.
Kandie/Kentucky def. Abdullah Majid/Sheik Hassan when Kandie made Hassan submit to a stomp rush at 18:31 to become the new PPW Tag Team Champions.
Majid and Hassan do not seem to be too concerned over losing the match and the titles to Kandie and Kentucky. The two lurk around the ring while Kandie and Kentucky celebrate their victory. Majid waits for Kentucky to start shaking hands with ringside fans and then starts to distract him. Hassan then reenters the ring and spins Kandie around. Hassan tosses a fireball in his face, causing him to drop to the mat instantly in pain. The fans alert Kentucky of this and he rolls into the ring and chases Hassan off. Majid and Hassan leave as officials arrive to tend to Kandie’s burns.
Harry Rollison pinned Man of Destiny at 5:47.
Bad Moon Mashita pinned Becky Stardust after a striking lariat at 10:38.
We head to Mashita’s locker room to find that PPW Women’s Champion Black Flower is there as well. Mashita can be seen reenacting her assault on Kiku Murasaki just before her match with Flower, with Flower responding with delight and laughter. A short time later, Flower begins to leave the room and spots the camera just down the hall. She tries to catch the cameraman, but he is just too quick for her and is able to escape.
Lethal Machine def. Jack Overbay by countout at 4:57 to retain the PPW Title.
